This was the first song The Old Guitarist wrote for me. Later we recorded it together and I put together this video featuring the dogs I had at the time, when they were just getting to know each other. I hope you like And!

I wrote a sonnet called “Epithalamion in a Deluge” for my then-new love, The Old Guitarist, complete with a reference to the yet-to-be-recorded song And. He set it to music, and together we expanded the lyrics to complete this, our first recording together. We recorded it at Tympanic Media while the new studio was under construction. We then hired a string quartet who recorded their parts at Dubway in NYC. I hope you enjoy Deluge.

Imagine you felt as if things were coming apart in your relationship and you do the best you can to put it all back together. That’s this song, Dancing with You.

The Old Guitarist writes many pieces that are dark in tone, sad or stormy. When he was playing his instrumental composition of And Now You’re Here, originally called “That Smile, Those Eyes,” I remarked that I thought it was the happiest thing I’d heard by him. He promptly composed lyrics, and later we recorded it.
